After years of traveling internationally for work and fun, I’ve learned a few go-to tricks that make all the difference in helping me beat jet lag quickly so I can enjoy my trip to the fullest. I was honored to be chosen to share my travel tips about San Diego, my former home where I lived for close to a decade, in the July 2025 issue of the Holland Herald.
As a digital nomad who prefers having a home base and traveling whenever while working online with a home and community to come back to, I don’t think I would have guessed I would have lived out of my suitcase for eight months straight in 2024! Traveling with a camera for the first time is pretty exciting! Even though the cameras on smartphones have gotten significantly better over time, whenever I compare photos taken on my Sony A7III to my iPhone 15, honestly, the Sony wins every time. While I don’t always feel like lugging around a camera while traveling, I’m always grateful for the higher quality photos - and memories! - captured with one.
